Facilities Supervisor Job Description
Job Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of facilities
operations, maintenance, and compliance. This role involves hands-on maintenance,
organizational responsibilities, and coordination with internal teams and external
contractors to ensure the efficient functioning and safety of all facilities and grounds. This
role focuses on supporting our 24/7 pediatric critical care operations.
This role does not currently have any direct reports.
Responsibilities:
Operations & Maintenance:
• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and necessary repairs for
facilities, grounds, and equipment.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, electrical work, and
appliance repairs.
• Ensure facilities and grounds are clean, organized, and professionally maintained.
• Manage the relocation of furniture and installation of fixtures.
Project Management:
• Plan and execute facilities-related projects, including data collection, budgeting,
and task coordination.
• Support the setup and maintenance of new facilities and locations.
• Work closely with vendors and contractors to ensure project timelines and quality
standards are met.
Compliance & Safety:
• Monitor and maintain compliance with all safety and security procedures, including
fire safety, evacuation protocols, and childproofing measures.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, including DCYF requirements, and
escalate concerns when necessary.
Communication & Reporting:
• Act as the primary point of contact for facilities-related issues, responding promptly
to emergency maintenance requests.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as Pediatric Care Technicians and Nurses, to
address facilities needs.
• Provide regular updates and reports on maintenance activities, project progress,
and compliance status.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong hands-on maintenance and repair skills, including plumbing, electrical, and
general construction.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards for facilities management.
• Proficiency with Office 365 Suite.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities as needed.
Education and Experience:
• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a
related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience in facilities maintenance, repair, or operations.
• Experience in project coordination or independent task management is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to maintenance and
repairs.
• Capability to travel between multiple facilities for inspections, repairs, and
coordination.
